The Border Crossers were formed in 2010 in Bisbee, AZ by singer/songwriter Dylan Charles. The band features fellow singer/songwriters Stuart Oliver (Founder of Old Bisbee Records, Dusty Buskers) and Nowhere Man & A Whiskey Girl (Amy and Derrick Ross) who take turns taking the lead in a dynamic showcase of all 3 artist's compositions. They are joined by Danielle Panther (Vocals, Percussion) and Sam Panther (Drums) of Bisbee's psychedelic rock band Green Machine. Together, they form a powerful musical force, complete with 4 part harmonies, expert musicianship, and ground-breaking original songs.
Fromfolk to funk, singer/songwriter, storyteller, and guitarist Dylan Charles explores a kaleidoscope of styles, blending the down-home feel and lyrical depth of American roots music with funky grooves, soulful vocals, and rock ‘n’ roll energy. Stuart Oliver, proffessional songwriter for Georgia based Connor Christian (Billboard's “Best Bets of 2012”), explores the realm of Cosmic Americana, with ethereal harmonies and intriguing lyrics inspired by his voyage of discovery from his native Southeast to the Desert. Derrick and Amy Ross, who perform as the duo Nowhere Man And A Whiskey Girl, won “Best Folk Group” (TAMMIES) in 2008, capturing the hearts of local audiences with her piano and voice, his acoustic guitar, a love of lifes little details, and a sense of humor.
Tirelessly touring the dance halls and watering holes of the Southwest, The Border Crossers have
headlined the Good Medicine Show (Plush, Tucson; Silver City, NM) were a featured act at the Bisbee Blues Festival of 2011, and will headline Tucson's Arizona Centennial Celebration, Saturday, February 11, 2012.
