W.D. "Arizona" Kennedy was born and raised in the farmland surrounding Bisbee, AZ. He has published a candid book on his adventures fortune hunting, "Chasing Rainbows And Similar Acts of Foolishness" [see link above]. Kennedy's endearing personality is a big part his rootsy storytelling.
The "rainbow chaser" also has an abundant catalogue of equally captivating western folk songs, reminiscent of Hank Williams and Woody Guthrie, with titles such as "The Day I Roped A Post" and "I Almost Bought The Farm". Kennedy makes personal appearances in Bisbee and Oregon, where he lives in the summer.
Tucson street-folk group The Dusty Buskers plan to release Kennedy's song "Chasing Rainbows" [listen below] on their debut americana album in 2010, and "Arizona" has several as-yet unreleased recordings with Old Bisbee Records.
